Out of School Hours Care

Philosophy and Aims

Out of School Hours Care at St Brigid's School provides a relaxed and stimulating environment that will foster each child’s sense of self-worth, nurture positive group relationships and promote cooperative and collaborative behaviour.

The service aims to:

  • Develop a safe warm and caring environment
  • Provide a variety of activities that take into account children’s age, interest, abilities and diverse backgrounds
  • Promote the development of positive attitudes and behaviours that value diversity and cooperation
  • Provide a service that recognises and values the uniqueness of each family
  • Offer a service that is affordable, accessible and addresses the needs of all families in the community.

 

Enrolling in OSHC

To enrol in the program, families should collect an Enrolment Pack from the OSHC service or the front office. 

Each child attending the program must have a fully completed Enrolment Form prior to attendance.

Operating Times

Before School Care

6.30am -  8.30am

 

After School Care 

3:00pm - 6:15pm

 

The centre is open Monday to Friday during school terms. 

The centre is also open on pupil free days.

The service is closed on public holidays and school holidays.

Accessibility

We welcome all families at our St Brigid’s Out of School Hours Care. 

Children’s access to care at the service is ensured and the custodial rights of parents who access the service are protected. However, if demand for places exceeds availability then priority of access will be given to families with the greatest needs, as follows:

  • Children at risk
  • Working/studying families
  • Children with a disability or parents with disability.

Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

The Commonwealth Government offers assistance through Child Care Subsidy to reduce the cost of care for all families. All families may apply for Child Care Subsidy. The amount of assistance received is based upon the family's income, activity level of parents and type of Child Care Service. If you want to claim assistance for Child Care fees you need to submit an assessment for each child for Child Care Subsidy through myGov Website.

  • Child Care Subsidy is not payable until you complete an online Child Care Subsidy Assessment using your Centrelink online account through myGov.
  • Provide your Customer Register Number (CRN) and your child's CRN.
  • Contact Centrelink on 13 61 50 for any assistance regarding the assessment.
